Both routes are around four hours if traveling direct. The Irish National Stud is a terrific place if you love horses or gardens. The Rock of Dunamase is a powerful spot. King John's Castle is a beautiful Norman castle. The Rock of Cashel is an amazing site filled with history. Cahir Castle is Jody's favorite Norman Castle. Blarney Castle & Gardens needs two and a half hours at a minimum. Kilkenny deserves a full day on its own.
