Drone Strike Near Boris Johnson's Train | Belfast News

A Russian drone strike near the Polish border hit a train station in Ukraine, narrowly missing former UK PM Boris Johnson’s departing train—carrying him and Swedish PM Carl Bildt. The railway company suspects the attack was aimed at the train, highlighting how Ukrainian rail schedules are constantly disrupted by Russian aggression. Though no one was injured, Johnson praised staff and passengers as “heroic” and used the incident to rally support for Ukraine. Ukraine’s foreign minister called it a “barbaric” act meant as a message to NATO and the EU, while UK officials warn of escalating threats to European security—and reaffirm Britain’s commitment to Ukraine and allied defense.
