Drone swarms breach Australian air force bases

Australian defence bases experienced 147 security breaches from drone incursions in restricted airspace over a single year, up from 60 the previous year and 21 the year before. Swarms of up to 20 drones have been spotted over military installations including Williamtown Air Force Base in New South Wales, with personnel instructed to close blinds to prevent intelligence gathering. Shadow Minister for Defence Phillip Thompson calls for an investigation into the unidentified drone operators and deployment of detection and interception technology.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
