For få år siden var droner store, dyre flyvemaskiner, som kun de største lande havde råd til at operere. I dag er virkeligheden en anden: Dronerne er blevet mindre, billigere og langt mere udbredte. I Ukraine har de sat deres tydelige præg på krigen, og også andre steder – senest i Iran – har de gjort deres indtog på slagmarken. Dronerevolutionen har længe først og fremmest udspillet sig i luften, men teknologien rykker nu også ind i krigens øvrige domæner.
