Ron van de Leigraaf, Chair of the RPAS Panel at the ICAO, brought us up to date on the latest aviation regulations for drones at Amsterdam Drone Week. As Chair of the RPAS Panel, Ron is responsible for overseeing the changes relating to international aviation and the inclusion of drone operations. They've been working to develop airspace standards that will also allow drones to enter international airspace, which will go into effect in 2026. In this interview, he talks about these regulations, how ICAO works with international governments… and what they’re working on now.
