The 2024 Presidential debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden was a depressing and unsettling night for America. Biden at times seemed coherent, but those times were few and far between. For the majority of the debate Biden seemed incapable of putting a full sentence together, let alone pushing back on Trump’s numerous lies regarding abortion, immigration, and the economy. Biden appeared weak and frail, reinforcing the old age concern most Americans have been worrying about for his whole term. There seems to be universal concern over whether Biden can physically and mentally manage to effectively campaign for President this year. The more important concern is if he will make it through the next term, and if he does can he manage the job of the Presidency for another four years? If most people wouldn’t believe so, does Biden’s Vice President inspire enough confidence from the average American? Those questions have been leading many establishment democrats to finally recognize the dire need to view the threat of Trump retaking the White House seriously. Biden has spent the last few months with unwavering support for the apartheid state of Israel while they’ve been engaged in a genocide. Biden responded to Israel’s genocide by giving the Israeli government $6.5 billion dollars in weapons, fighter jets, and other military aid, all of which happened in violation of US law and against the wishes of his base. Biden’s full-fledged support for apartheid, indiscriminate bombing, collective punishment, and the use of starvation as a weapon of war against civilians inspired hundreds of thousands of democrat voters all across the country to vote uncommitted in the Democrat primary. Biden came to power fully dependent on the support of the Bernie-left and now Bernie Sanders and his base oppose the Israeli genocide in Gaza. Instead of responding to the wishes of his base, Biden is playing chicken with our democracy against his own voters. America needs a new political savior to save us from both Trump and Biden.
