Drop That Feeding Bottle (Part 2)!

from Emmanuel Afiawari's Inspiration podcast · host Emmanuel Afiawari

There's a thinking and behavioural pattern that's only appropriate for a child that you cannot take into your adulthood. A child is dependent on others for everything; his thinking is needs-based and behaviour is to compel others to meet those needs. But with the passage of time, he soon learns to take up stuff for himself. He drops the feeding bottle for real solid adult food. Life will always present you that switch-moment, where the feeding bottle no longer holds the satisfaction it once held. It's up to you to flip the switch! There're some basic truth about life that would help shape your adulthood: nobody can love you more than you love yourself. To wait for anyone to love you more is to undermine your worth; nobody can pray for you more than you pray for yourself. If you think otherwise, you'd remain in the realm of wishes and watch your destiny pass you by; and it is nobody's duty to clean you up properly after using the convenience. To expect this of others is to make yourself a stinking public nuisance. Be responsible for yourself! Everyone has his burden to bear; to resign to fate and hope another person would add yours to theirs is to live in a fool's paradise. Hunger and deprivation would teach you hard lessons you might never graduate from. Determine therefore what baby actions you need to drastically and urgently change because they're no longer fashionable to so do. Be true to yourself; cut your excesses; eliminate waste; set up objective and realistic goals; go to work!
