For one woman with melanoma, a new drug combination to treat skin cancer caused a grapefruit size tumor to disappear in just three weeks. The treatment’s being called a breakthrough and a clinical trial shows it dramatically increases the survival of patients with fatal melanoma by boosting the ability of the patient’s immune system to fight tumors.
