Rodičovský bonus je nástroj, o ktorom už približne rok hovorí minister práce Milan Krajniak. Zatiaľ neplatí, pretože sa na ňom koalícia nezhodla. Ide o odvod, cez ktorý by deti zo svojho platu prispievali na dôchodok svojich rodičov. Hlavnou výčitkou je, že to je drahé a kolegom z koalície nebol jasný ani mechanizmus financovania.  Minister Krajniak prišiel tento týždeň s novým návrhom, odkiaľ peniaze zobrať, ale to nie je všetko, popri tom sa znovu rozprúdila diskusia o druhom pilieri. Zabezpečenie v dôchodkovom veku je pre viacerých akýmsi zdrojom úzkosti, aj keď možno len takým podprahovým, a má aj prečo, priveľa ľudí si na dôchodok nesporí správne.  V tejto časti Indexu sa preto Nikola Šuliková Bajánová a Eva Frantová zaoberajú okrem rodičovského bonusu druhým pilierom, tým, aké politické zásahy mu uškodili a čo čaká budúcich dôchodcov, ak si šetrenie či investovanie nenastavia dobre.
