DT Classics 033 - Gankutsuou

Originally Recorded: August 4th, 2025 We traveled through space and the kaleidoscopic design of mid 2000s anime to find the greatest treasure of all: the greatest adaptation of a novel ever made! Yes, Countess Stephanie, Andrew de Morserf and Noah Depenai are bringing back the classics series to take a look back at Gonzo's bonkers space remake of The Count of Monte Cristo, and the English dub from 20 years ago. Hopefully there will be no taking revenge as we untangle this master series: Gankutsuou! Our theme music was composed by Gabriel Pulcinelli / Ponpoko in the Distance. You can find more of their work at https://ponpokointhedistance.com/ and at @gabrpulcinelli on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Facebook.
