DTD 95 – Sorry its late

from DumTeeDum - A show about BBC Radio's 'The Archers'

This week we heard a number of new callerinerers rising out of lurkdom and contributing to the discussions and provoking comments from our hosts. Not all of them disclosed their real life occupation. But many dumteedogs were named.Meanwhile the steady repatterning of activities in the village means that we are moving back in the direction of characters leading the action with issues hopefully being relegated to a lesser level. For example the wedding story reminding us of Emma's insecurities and demonstrating Kirsty's ability to cope with almost anything which arises. This is where The Archers should be and we obviously hope it will continue. The one character losing the plot is still Pat who seems to have gone completely deaf and blind over her daughter. Lucy knows that Lilian did not smoke in the kitchen at the Dower House so would not do so at Home Farm - and Jenny would certainly not let her.Roifield lectured us all on just how good the 70's were - mainly because of the excellent music which was the soundtrack to our lives whilst Lucy was not at all keen because of the poor fashions.Lucy is sad at the passing of Terry Wogan (Kosmo likewise) - but remarked on Terry's ability to create a community through the spoken word which she hopes we are emulating with similar eccentricity in DumTeeDum. I refer to the opening paragraph above - it seems we are - all welcome!KosmoOn this week’s episode we have calls from Claire from Clapham who’s worried about Helen rejecting help Andrew Horn who is irony spottingScarlett Sparrow who’s worried about KrustyHannah Clarke who has a way of getting rid of Rob and Toby at onceMrs M who was married to a robJacqueline Bertho who’s sick of hearing about BrightonKat Brown who’s furious with PatDusty Substances who’s got the wrong sort of germsandKosmo who’s disappointed in Brian.
