This week we cover Duane Samples who murdered Fran Steffens, and attempted to murder Diane Ross in Silverton, Oregon. Diane’s survival story is absolutely incredible. We also talk about Robert Ressler’s interview with Samples for the Criminal Personality Research Project. Samples thought he was way smarter than everyone and later tried to blame this crime on PTSD flashbacks due to the Vietnam war. But a very strange letter he wrote to the victim along with his past of gory fetishes and unusual fantasies, seems to indicate this crime was not an accident.
