Christensen believes that Solana’s codebase is the most promising option due to its technical quality, proven resilience, and existing examples of successful forks. The new chain, called NewChain, will serve as a backend for MakerDAO’s SubDAO tokenomics and governance security. The fintech intends to pay $605.7 million for the shares that were transferred to the custody of the U.S. government after the bankruptcy of SBF’s businesses.
