Dublin Bus Drivers Jim And Aidan Tell Us About Their Pride Campaign

from Weekend Breakfast with Alison Curtis

Dublin Bus and its employees have a new community partnership with LGBT Ireland for Pride 2022. It features a diverse group of LGBTQ+ community members, including Dublin Bus employees with the person who has always been there for them and who has grown alongside their journey - somebody who’s been there through the good times, the bad times and all the times in-between providing unrelenting support. Jim strongly believes that everyone should be able to love who they want to love and that is something that he has taught his 4 children. His home is a ‘safe house’ and his family treat everyone equally and everyone is welcome. Adrian agrees that their relationship is like any normal relationship. They talk straight from the heart and Adrian trusts Jim. They mutually support each other. Adrian also gives Jim advice – because one of Jim’s children is a member of the LGBT community - and this made them even closer. Drivers for 24 years, Jim and Aidan spoke to Alison Curtis and Weekend Breakfast all about the 'By Your Side' initiative.
