Dublin Family Court Gets New Home | Belfast News

After years of advocacy, the Dublin Family Court Complex is finally moving forward—government has awarded the contract for a state-of-the-art facility on Hammond Lane designed to replace outdated, scattered courts. With 19 courtrooms, virtual hearing spaces, and support services, the new complex aims to offer dignity and security for sensitive family and child cases. Planned since 2019 by 11 organizations demanding modernization, construction could begin as early as 2027—with completion targeted for 2030. This landmark project will consolidate current facilities including Dolphin House and the Four Courts into one centralized, future-ready hub.
