En EEUU la empresa Apple cambió el nombre del Golfo de México por “Golfo de América” para los usuarios estadounidenses de su aplicación de mapas, para cumplir con una orden ejecutiva del presidente Donald Trump. Las personas que utilicen la aplicación Apple Maps desde ese país verán que ahora se llama “Golfo de América”. Sin embargo, quienes accedan al servicio desde el extranjero seguirán viéndolo como Golfo de México.
