猫：动物的“猫”的意思小判:是指古代日本货币单位,表示金币/钱币。猫に小判：用现代的日语讲,就相当于把钱给猫的意思,引申意思为拥有贵重,高价值的东西却发挥不了作用,或是将一样贵重的东西交给一个完全用不着他的人。お年寄(としよ)りにスマートフォンの良(よ)さを説明(せつめい)しても猫(ねこ)に小判(こばん)だ。给老人家解释智能手机的优点也没有太多意义。紅楼夢(こうろうむ)は名著(めいちょ)だが、3(３)歳(さい)の子供(こども)によませるのは猫(ねこ)に小判(こばん)だ。《红楼梦》虽然是名著，但让一个3岁孩子去读也没有什么意义。
