Dumb Golf Expectations and How to Avoid Them (E107)

from Data Axis Golf with Dr. Aaron R. Stewart Hosted by Dr. Aaron R. Stewart, Ph.D.

Most golfers are usually terrible at creating realistic expectations for themselves. I don't know what it is about golf, but we seem to think we should be performing at levels far outside our level or earned expertise, and yet, there we are with the cursing, the club throwing, and the lies to make ourselves feel better about our muliganless score. Watching golfers react to their poor play can be so sad and so hysterical at the same time. We golfers tend to be a results-oriented group, and so focused on outcomes that we get in our way of the most rapid approach to lasting improvement and better play, and most of us haven't realized it yet. Focusing on your score, your shot or your outcomes is one of the very worst methods to improve, so let's discuss the best way instead. Let's tee it up. #golf #pgatour #golfers #lovegolf #golfday #whyilovethisgame #golflessons #golflife #anythinggolf #beautifulgolfcourses #lovegolf #betterdatabettergolf #dataaxisgolf #golfislife #golfball #golftournament #golfcourse #golfrange #golfnews #instagolf #golfswing #golfing #golfaddict #nowhitebelts #talkbirdietome Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dataaxisgolf/ Follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dataaxisgolf/
