Dumbles, amp sims, and strings... Oh My!

This week we talk a bit about Dumble amps, and I'm sure I got a couple of time lines wrong. We also discuss the pros and cons of amp simulators. We've also introduced the string challenge where you, the listener get to tell us what strings are best. There will be a prize at the end, but this will last for months, so lets hope the prize is worth it. We're going to put 4 string manufacturers and brands to the test: Ernie Ball Super Slinky, D'Addario NYXL, Stringjoy (custom), and The Gabriel Tenorio String Company (custom). Over the next few months, we'll be putting up sound bites on the group Facebook page and challenging you to provide honest input. You won't know what string we're playing and we won't know the strings that the other host is playing. We are not allowing subjectivity to be involved, so the strings will be measured equally on their sound. While we may rate them in our views of feel, response, etc., those views will be on a scale; but you will be able to tell us how you feel about the tone.
