Dung on your Faces | Malachi 1:11 – 2:3

What kind of worship does God accept? In Malachi, God confronts His people—and especially the priests—for offering Him polluted, halfhearted, second-rate worship. They had grown weary of worship, treated the Lord’s table with contempt, and offered God what cost them little. Yet the Lord declares, “I am a great King,” and His name will be feared and made great among the nations. Malachi’s vivid warning of “dung on your faces” exposes the shame of worship that dishonors God and refuses to take His Word to heart.
