Dunk - Dark Machine

FORMATION RECORDS PRESENTS: DUNK – DARK MACHINE EP 1.Bass Boost 2.Dark Machine 3.Ganja Smuggling 4.Wicked & Bad Formation Records returns with a powerful new release from rising talent DUNK, delivering a hard-hitting statement with the “Dark Machine EP” — a four-track collection built for the darker corners of the dancefloor. Rooted in a futuristic, industrial aesthetic, Dark Machine EP explores the raw mechanics of drum & bass with precision engineering and uncompromising energy. This is music designed for peak-time impact — heavy, driving, and unapologetically underground. Opening with “Bass Boost”, DUNK sets the tone with a low-end assault, combining punchy drums and rolling sub pressure that immediately locks into the system. The title track “Dark Machine” follows, diving deeper into dystopian textures and mechanical rhythms, showcasing a refined, tech-driven sound. On “Ganja Smuggling”, the EP shifts into a more stripped-back, groove-led roller — minimal yet deadly, built for selectors who understand the power of space and swing. Closing the release, “Wicked & Bad” delivers a high-energy finale, blending rugged basslines with sharp percussion to create a track primed for reloads. With this release, DUNK demonstrates a clear artistic identity — merging modern production techniques with classic underground ethos. The Dark Machine EP fits seamlessly into Formation Records’ legacy of pushing forward-thinking drum & bass while staying true to its roots. This is a release aimed squarely at DJs and dancefloors worldwide — engineered for impact, built for the system.
