1997年1月14日、東京都多摩市のマンホールから女性の◯体が発見されました。女性は前年の2月に失踪した保育士（39）で捜索願が出ていました。警察は知り合いによる犯行と考え、数人の男性を重要参考人として取り調べを行いました。彼女の私物から銀行通帳がなくなっていましたが預金が引き出された記録はありませんでした。その後◯体遺棄の時効は成立しましたが、現在でも◯人事件としての捜査は続いている未解決事件です。
