Maar de laatste jaren klagen Formule 1 fans steeds vaker over de stijgende prijzen op het circuit. In Pitstop, de wekelijkse Formule 1 podcast van AD Sportwereld duikt presentator Etienne Verhoeff in de prijzen rondom een race. Hij bespreekt het met AD F1 watcher Marijn Abbenhuijs en Mitchell Stegers die met EMboost reizen organiseert naar de Formule 1. 'In Zandvoort klagen bezoekers over een biertje voor €6,50, maar Amerikanen lachen daarom', zegt Stegers in de podcast. 'In een sportstadion in de VS ben je al snel 30 dollar kwijt voor een broodje hamburger', vult Abbenhuijs aan. Stegers: 'Je ziet in de Formule 1 dat er vooral goedkope kaartjes worden verkocht of hele dure VIP pakketten. De middengroep wordt eigenlijk vergeten.'
