During La Crosse stop, US House candidate Berge talks mental health, housing and farm concerns

US House candidate Emily Berge in studio to discuss the key issues she’s hearing about while touring Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District. Berge, a licensed professional counselor and Eau Claire City Council president, is one of three Democrats running — along with Rebecca Cooke and Laura Benjamin — to unseat Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R–Prairie du Chien). Mental health dominated much of the conversation, drawing on Berge’s professional background. We also talked about the housing crisis and how federal action could help, as she sees the same affordability struggles in Eau Claire that affect La Crosse and much of western Wisconsin.
