Nauroze Anees is in the heart of the beast that is the Australia Immigration Detention Network. Earlier this year he made a claim that he had been told by a fellow detainee $80 000 cash could 'buy' a visa. The detainee who is alleged to have said this is a convicted drug trafficker from New Zealand now living on the Gold Coast. Under legislation introduced by the current Liberal/National government a person can be refused a visa if they fail a character test which revolved around criminal activity. In this interview Nauroze discusses the details of his case and of his allegations regarding 'cash for visas'. The day after this interview was recorded further allegations have been revealed in an article of Buzzfeed.
