Rather than using the drum track to provide the thrum I used slow modulation and feedback to fill the space between trigger hits. I used Logic to send a 10bpm clock to my modular rig. I had it trigger a dfam, beads in wavetable mode and a soft pop 2 and then fed the outputs through delay and reverb to fill the space between the thuds.
