E.97 Lockdowns Biggest Success Story; Let's Chat With Natasha Thomas Co-Founder of Lockdown Liquor

from Catch Ups In My Kitchen

This week in my kitchen I am joined by Natasha Thomas Co-Founder of Lockdown Liquor the premium bottled cocktail company based in London which completely took our Lockdowns by storm. Natasha and her husband Jack came up with the initiative whilst sat at home during Lockdown that they could create bottled cocktails that all you needed to do was shake and pour to have a delicious drink, with all the proceeds going to the NHS. With virtual socialising on the rise and many tired of squeezing endless limes for homemade margaritas, their bottles quickly became sought-after, signalling to Tash and Jack that they were onto something special.Lockdown Liquor then made the transition from business-to-consumer (B2C) to business-to-business (B2B), shifting its focus from helping consumers enjoy their Friday nights at home to assisting the hospitality industry in providing premium cocktails during busy evenings, particularly when short-staffed. This pivot significantly altered the landscape. Lockdown Liquor values itself on using premium ingredients to ensure a premium experience so whether you are on a plane, train, bar or at home, you should never have a bad cocktail again. In this episode, I delve into Tash's journey with Lockdown Liquor and the unique experience of launching a business during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, I explore Tash's role as the founder of another venture, Total Management Group, an events management company, discussing how she manages both businesses alongside her responsibilities as a mother. Finally, we explore the strategic decision to prioritize trade over direct-to-consumer sales and the resulting opportunities it has generated. This is an incredible episode about an incredible brand which I think you are going to loveThe topics that were discussed:Life before Lockdown LiquorWhy was Lockdown Liquor startedWhat did Lockdown Look like for you?Starting a business during lockdown - the pros and cons After Lockdown was lifted, how did the business changeWhen and why did you launch Easy LiquorHow do the two brands differHow does Lockdown Liquor differ to others on the marketWhat's it like to work with your husband? How do you find the work life balanceHow do you feel being a female in a male-dominated industryWhat's your relationship like with alcoholFavourite CocktailFuture of Lockdown LiquorSponsors:PARLA - Order your sustainable oral care - Here GEORGIASYMONDS for 10% off your orderHUEL - click here to top up on your HUELGeorgia’s Instagram - click here! This episode was hosted and produced by Georgia Symonds Hosted on Acast.
