E.G Goes In ON U.S BLOCKS PORK FROM POLAND/ ALSO A SCHOOL FEEDS KIDS KANGAROO MEAT/ALSO CANADA JUST LEGALIZED MARIJUA...
from ????? ?PODCASTLIFE
The United States suspended imports of pork from Poland on Thursday over an outbreak of the highly contagious hog disease African swine fever in that country. African swine fever has spread rapidly in eastern Europe and China, the world's largest pork producer, where new cases are appearing and the disease is traveling far distances. The United States is free of the disease, and anxious to keep it that way because infections in U.S. herds would likely kill hogs and limit pork exports. Some of the students at a western Nebraska high school and junior high may have fallen ill after consuming chili with kangaroo meat mixed with beef last week. News Channel Nebraska first reported the mystery meat in chili served at Potter-Dix High School and Junior High was that of the marsupial. The school’s head cook Kevin Frei said he added the kangaroo meat for its nutritional value and because it’s a lean cut. While it’s unknown the extent of the illnesses and whether or not they were brought on by the meal, Potter-Dix Superintendent Mike Williams fielded several complaints from concerned parents. People in Canada are cheering, enduring long lines and honking their car horns in support as the country's first marijuana dispensaries open their doors Wednesday. Like Power, hundreds are now legally buying recreational marijuana all over Canada, but not without adjusting to a few rules. As marijuana enthusiasts continue celebrating this historic day for Canada, here's a quick primer to get you up to speed.
