E. Jean Carroll’s Legal Bills & Fresno Police Drone Helps Locate Fleeing Suspect

This is not about whether the underlying case was true—that’s already been decided in civil court. Instead, the DOJ is looking into a narrower question: Was the outside funding of Carroll’s legal fight handled and disclosed properly, and did it break any laws?  Police said operators in the department's "Drone as First Responder" program spotted the suspect leaving the area on an electric scooter.
