A new year, a new chapter for EMC! We start 2024 with a new graphic design and with our first guest for the Atmospheres playlist! Welcome to Lateral Movement! Originally from Portugal, Ricardo aka Lateral Movement moved to the UK in the nineties for studying. Diving right into the local music culture, effervescent as ever, he meandered effortlessly through genres, taking him deeper into the arts whilst aiding his curiosity, from free jazz to indietronica. Returning to Portugal, Ricardo became a strong supporter of the alternative scenes, embarking on a different kind of journey and took upon himself the responsibility of discovering new music and sharing it with the community. To this day deep techno and its many guises are his passion, especially the deeper and hypnotic realms, where ambience and atmosphere play the main role. Enjoy!
