EMC is excited to introduce the last Shapes episode of 2023! Welcome to Kali! As a selector, Kali ’s musical style fluctuates around trance infused house, high-speed techno stirred up with breaks and electro. Having started her journey as a dj at queer parties in 2013, Kali soon gained experience in organizing events, always striving to create a safe space for LGBTQI+ people in Budapest. Her mission has always been to reinforce the representation of queer people and womxn in the electronic music scene. She was part of the technosexual party collective of @omohbp. Since 2019 she’s an active member of @persephoneparty a queer feminist collaboration dedicated to showcase FLINTA artists. In the past years Kali had the chance to show her fast-forward style to the audience abroad by playing at the Lecken-OMOH-Persephone after party in Kake, Berlin, heating up the dancefloor before @jakojako_live in Munich’s @harrykleinclub, returning to Zürich’s FLINTA parties organized by GLITBAQ, and bringing her positive energy to Innsbruck’s @arche-ahoi club. This past summer she brought her hi-energy vibes at @daadgathering and the famous @ozora-festival. Enjoy!
