About LauraDr.  Laura Cooper is a licensed psychologist and the owner of Connections Counseling & Psychological Services in Lufkin, Texas. She is married and has two children, a college student, and a high school student. When she isn't seeing clients or managing the office, she is spending time with her family, working out, or gathering research for her ongoing project to find the best street tacos. One fun fact about Dr. Cooper is that she loves (or rather is obsessed with) The Dave Matthews Band and has attended multiple concerts in just one weekend. A lifelong learner, she stays up to date with new therapy techniques, and is an avid reader, often receiving 2 or 3 books per week from Amazon that she can’t tell her husband about. Dr. Cooper is an energetic therapist who is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health and is a fierce advocate for her employees. She makes sure her employees know that their well-being is her top priority and implements fun self-care strategies at work to take care of her team. Her employees will tell you that her super-power is how well she knows them and always gives the perfect gift.
