Hailing from Leith, he comes from a hockey family and has played in and around the Edinburgh area for several years. Having started his coaching career with the Waverley Inveresk Trinity HC youth teams, Matt is now down the road with Inverleith. Here he is the Ladies 2nd XI and Men’s 3rd XI coach. Last season saw some silverware come his way, Christie coached the Ladies 3rd XI to the league title and received the club’s Coach of the Year Award for 2023.
