e057 - A Love-Powered Life with Anna Lozano and Lindy Sood of Love Powered Co.

from You've Got This, Mama - Podcast · host Sabrina Greer - YGTMAMA Inc.

Hello Mamas! We are so happy to be back in a groove with many more episodes coming your way... The balmy summer days are slowly turning into gentle, cooler days (hopefully on all fronts), and we are gearing up for September, not knowing what lies ahead. And that is even more reason why we are so excited to bring to you some truly special guests -- Anna Lozano and Lindy Sood -- Founders and CEOs of Love Powered Co - the affirmation company. They are moms on a mission to power the next generation of mindful leaders and make I AM affirmations a common practice in homes around the world. Their affirmations have been seen on The Marilyn Denis Show, Breakfast Television, Fox News, and enjoyed by influencers and celebrities including Sarah Landry of The Birds Papaya, Jaime King, Jully Black, Cheryl Hickey amongst many others! Wowza! Talk about powerhouses, amirite?! On the podcast, we chat with Anna and Lindy about the power of affirmations, how it changed their life and quite frankly, how they approached motherhood. Both of them were on their separate but simultaneous journey of self-discovery and personal growth, centered around self-love. Their lives were transforming before their eyes, these changes visible in the everyday nuances and intricacies of their life. While most people would consider affirmations unimportant or silly, Anna and Lindy leaned hard into practicing I AM affirmations in their household, so much so it became a daily ritual. They noticed how their energy level shifted whenever they would state an affirmation, and soon they noticed these feelings of positivity, confidence, inspiration, worthiness, calm, kindness, openness lasted long after their affirmation ritual was over. Imagine how powerful words can be -- to shape your thoughts, words, actions, and in essence, design your life. And more than that, if mindfulness practices are beneficial for us, as mamas, imagine the positive effects they have on our children! With these exact thoughts in mind, parallel life journeys, shared values, and a deep desire to birth something beautiful, life changing and meaningful, Anna and Lindy followed their creative and intuitive nudge to create affirmations that were powered with deep self-love, and so, Love Powered Co. was born. Some top takeaways from today's episode: Socio-cultural conditioning often teaches us to think that self-care, self-love is not important and those who do practice this are self-centered or self-absorbed. Well, Mama, here's a reality flash: Self-love, self-care, and self-worth are basic needs for you to not only survive, but also thrive in all areas of your life. You are not being self-centered when you affirm yourself. The way you speak to yourself is so important, Mama. Self-love is the highest form of kindness and love you can give to yourself. How you love yourself sets the tone for how you love others and the love you accept. And we all know the oxygen-mask-in-an-airplane analogy: Put your own mask on first before you go to help others. The same applies to motherhood, business, and your personal life. Instilling these practices within our daily routine is powerful, it makes a difference in our life and also impacts our kiddos. How beautiful is it to set the tone and raise empowered, conscious littles who know that the key to long lasting peace, joy, and success lies within themselves -- their self-love, their self-confidence, their self-worth. Everything you encounter in your life, motherhood, and business, there is an affirmation for that. Cheeky, we know! But it's true! Words are so powerful they have the power to shift your mood, your energetic vibration, and your whole life. That being said, embrace the squiggly lines and the highs and lows, the ebbs and flows. The journey to success in all areas of your life is non linear. Luck has nothing to do with it.

The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
