C talks to Liesl, a Guatemalan anthropologist who is currently living, researching and studying in the Pacific Northwest. Liesl shares her experiences with racism, unexpected experiences that have made her laugh and the different people she has crossed paths with. She gives us a little glimpse into her current research project with a community of Guatemalan migrants, recognizes how different cultural and experiential backgrounds make us experience the world and the people around us differently and helps us make the step from social signalling - like having a Black Lives Matter sign or a Ukrainian flag in your front yard - to meaningful action.
