文章選自德國之聲Deutsch Welle 重點單字 devastating flash floods 毀滅性的山洪暴發 over 100 people confirmed dead 超過100人確認罹難 news outlets 新聞媒體 conspiracy theorists 陰謀論者 cloud seeding operations 人工造雨作業 gain traction 獲得了關注 cloud seeding 人工降雨 weather modification 氣候改造技術 chemically induce rainfall 以化學方式誘發降雨 trick 誘騙 water vapor particles 水蒸氣顆粒 dismissed 駁斥 baseless 毫無根據的 cloud seeding cannot create rain out of nothing 人工降雨無法無中生有地造雨 generate a storm of this magnitude 產生如此規模的風暴 drop subtly more rain 稍微多下一些雨 enhance the rainfall by up to 20% 讓降雨量增加高達20%。 long since dispersed 散佈殆盡 entirely inconsequential densities 完全微不足道的密度 Scientific consensus 科學共識 unequivocally 毫不含糊 had nothing to do with cloud seeding activities 與人工降雨活動完全不相干 extreme weather events 極端天氣事件 補充單字 affected by drought 受到乾旱影響 be given credence 被採信／被認可 conduct operations 進行（此指人造雨）作業 gain traction 獲得關注／擴散開來 further peddle the theory 進一步散播該理論 be contracted 簽約／承攬 various municipality 各個市政當局 hence 因此；所以 exacerbate 加劇 concur 同意；與… 駁斥為… cannot create… out of nothing 無法憑空產生… have nothing to do with… “Fact Check: Texas Floods—Cloud‑Seeding Theories Dismissed.” Deutsche Welle, 14 July 2025, www.dw.com/en/fact-check-texas-floods-cloud-seeding-theories-dismissed/a-73195643 -- Hosting provided by SoundOn
