ATA presents annual and biennial awards to encourage, reward, and publicize outstanding work done by both seasoned professionals and students of our craft. ATA recognizes our colleagues who, through their daily work, volunteer activities, and careers exemplify the qualities that define excellence in our field or who have made a significant impact on the profession of translation and interpreting.   In this episode of the ATA Podcast, co-host Andie Ho talks to Beth Smith, chair of ATA's Honors & Awards Committee and winner of the 2020 Rising Star Award, about all the awards that ATA bestows. Beth describes each prestigious honor, how the committee and volunteers work to select winners, and how you can nominate candidates.
