Josslyn Hay was a British aristocrat who moved with his wife, Lady Idina Sackville, to Africa. There, they were part of the “Happy Valley Set,” a group of wealthy expats who lived to drink alcohol, do drugs and have sex. Extra-marital affairs at their parties were not only common but openly encouraged.
