[11:03] Seeking Peace The Kingdom of God represents peace and resting in the Lord. How are you putting yourself in a position where you can posture your heart to receive His gift of peace? Resting does not mean simply doing nothing. You must actively do things that will ensure outward and inward peace. Curate your environment to align with the peace you’re seeking. [18:11] The Importance of Rest When we’re tired, we become tempted the most. So you need to take care of your physical health. Remember that the Sabbath is not negotiable. Get help if needed to keep the Sabbath. God has called on you to do incredible things but you can’t do them if you are feeling tired and burned out. What could you do to fill your tank again? What do you enjoy that gives you life and rest? [27:23] Being Still Rest is God’s gift to man. Come to the Lord for rest because His burden is light. Make it a habit to be still every day for a few minutes to an hour to communicate with the Lord. [36:31] Resting in God’s Presence We have to rest in God’s Word. If you’re not reading the Bible, you cannot know God’s Will. Keep persisting and reading His Word. Be careful not to make reading the Bible a burden. [42:36] How to Spend Sabbath Carve out a 24-hour period as your Sabbath. During that time, do something that energizes you. Set aside time for prayer. Be intentional about spending Sabbath and resting. Jesus also references the commandments in his sermon on the mount saying, “...whoever does them [the commandments] will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:19) Looking forward to exploring these with you!
