E11: I AM YOUR PEACE

from Sincerely, God · host Sarah Holcomb

In this episode I share journaling about the importance of peace as a way of life. Finding time for rest and stillness isn’t another task to accomplish, but a process towards a way of being that is transformational to our core selves. God’s design for rest often seems upside down compared to the busy and rushing that is the way of the world around us. But as we can find small ways to add more enjoyment and stillness of mind and heart, we begin to see and hear more clearly. Peace isn’t an elusive goal or reliant upon some external force. Peace is a person and as close as God within you. 0:00 Welcome Intro 1:04 Journal excerpt start 4:05 Quote: Peace pursues peace… 4:31 Journal excerpt end 5:00 God’s design of rest seems upside down to the world’s way 7:07 It is a transformation of the way you think, do and live 10:43 Practical steps to build peace can start small 12:52 God’s intention for rest isn’t just more Bible study 14:47 God is with you and wants you to experience joy 15:11 Then you will be able to hear God more clearly 16:16 Peace is a way of life and as close as God within you 18:10 What fills you up and makes you feel most refreshed? 18:57 Creating peace as a way of life is a process 20:07 Thanks for tuning in Get your copy of Sincerely, God: A Collection of Quotes book or prayer journal! • Peace pursues peace.
