In this episode I share about becoming more aware of God’s Presence. God is always with us, but it takes an intentionality to shift our awareness to this truth. God invites us to seek Him in everything—to create rhythms of stillness and habits of inviting Him into our everyday decisions. There is not a separation between the practical and spiritual aspects of our lives. Everything is integrated and God is always present. In this episode I share an excerpt about joy and God’s love. We often look for love from other people but only God’s love is complete and sufficient for all we need. As we spend time intentionally shifting our awareness to God and receiving His love, it starts to heal and transform us into the original, pure version of ourselves. God is always with us, but sometimes we need to shift our perspective through joy and thanksgiving to recognize His love that is always available. And as we do this, it changes us. In this episode I share an excerpt about the joy that God offers to us. This joy is not contingent upon circumstances and can coexist with sadness, grief or frustration. It cannot be taken away, but it does require us to trust God. Like faith, trust needs to be proven out as we take risks and have experiences of God with us. In this episode I share an excerpt where God is reminding me to release some of my overplanning tendencies and instead leave room for His Spirit to flow freely. I had asked God for guidance in preparing for a particular meeting and in response He shared wisdom intended to transform my way of life. Many of us can struggle with getting caught up in the details, often spending a lot of time and effort on things that aren’t necessary. We can all find ourselves tying our personal worth to external measurements found in how we operate in the world around us. But everything in this world can be taken away. In this episode I share about how God invites us to praise Him for His promises at the time the promise is given, not waiting until it comes to full reality. We can know that when God promises something, the promise is real and true. Some promises require our participation, but some will come to pass regardless of what we do or not. And God loves to see us delight in the gifts He gives us, including the gift of a promise when it is first spoken. In this episode I give an introduction to dreams as one of the many ways we can hear from God. I share about the different types of dreams we may have, such as soul dreams that process emotions and things we may not be consciously aware of. I talk briefly about nightmares or dark dreams, emphasizing that it is possible to break free if you struggle with these (message me if you want more information). Prophetic or spiritual dreams is how I describe the insight that God communicates to us which can be an easier way to hear, especially when it comes to concepts that are outside of our rational thinking. Dreams are highly symbolic and require interpretation, which should always be done through God. In this episode I share journaling that reminds us that God is waiting for us in each day. He longs for us to connect with Him in stillness and to refresh us with His Spirit throughout our day. Psalm 46:10 says to “be still and know that I am God” which I think is a key lesson for how to do this life. Practicing stillness can look differently for each of us, but when we are feeling depleted it is often a reminder to reconnect with God in this way. In this episode I reflect on what it means to see with the eyes of your heart. So much is beyond what our minds can comprehend, but the heart exists in a way that is beyond. There is power in emotions and we can connect with our heart through visions, or seeing images in our imagination. The book, Unleashing Healing Power Through Spirit-Born Emotions, discusses this idea in depth, but we can experience this effect simply by bringing an old memory to mind and noticing the feelings tied to it (whether good or bad). I also talk about trusting that the path is already made and it is simply our jobs to walk forward, one step at a time.
