...: Women of colour resist: In the first edition of the Surviving Society Alternative to Woman's Hour for 2021, Akwugo provides some important analysis on women of colour's activism and resistance in UK, Europe & beyond. *The first direct action of Sisters Uncut was not during the Suffragettes UK red carpet premiere in 2015 - at this point Sisters had already engaged in at least four national actions. Surviving Society unreservedly apologises for this error during the episode. We continue to be very much inspired by the work of activists like Sisters Uncut and our ambition is to show true recognition of this integral organising.
