A few weeks backs, I had a conversation with several young adults, friends of my son who’s 19. They shared how lost they were and didn’t “get” the purpose o life. Kudos to them for being able to articulate something so profound. It took me until I was in my mid-forties to be able to ask those questions. As heartbreaking as it was to hear, I realized that they were given a gift (hidden under the darkness) because they didn’t want to prescribe to societal norms.
