I came across a study about how much dividend income was paid by all US companies in 2021, the figure was $522.7 billion dollars. That is a lot of money! How much of this income distribution ended up in your pocket? I know not much was paid directly to me. This study got me thinking about what I can do today to make sure more dividend income flows in my direction in the future. I performed some analysis on the dividend aristocrats to find trends between a high dividend yield and a high dividend growth rate that would optimize the most dividend income in the long run.
