E138: Romano O'Kane - Sobriety Gave Me a Life Beyond My Wildest Dreams

In this episode, I'm thrilled to be joined by Romano (Mano) O'Kane, a dynamic Entrepreneur, Public Speaker, and Co-Host of the immensely popular Podcast Lock Stock and Two Joking Addicts. Hailing from Sligo Town, Romano shares his remarkable journey from a past entangled in crime and addiction to a present filled with sobriety and newfound purpose. With candid honesty, Romano recounts hitting rock bottom and the pivotal moment that led him to a path of recovery. He reflects on the profound impact of the supportive community he found in recovery meetings, where he forged lasting friendships that changed the trajectory of his life. Now celebrating a year of sobriety, Romano expresses deep gratitude for his partner, son, and the invaluable connections he's made along his journey, including his podcast co-host, Dean. Through his story of resilience and transformation, Romano inspires listeners with his message of hope, resilience, and the power of finding gratitude in life's simplest pleasures.
