In this episode, Pete speaks to Debbie Spector Weisman a certified dream life coach. She is also an author and podcaster. They talk about depression, higher purpose and of course, dreams! Throughout her life, she had often remembered dreams and thought about them but they weren’t a big part of her life until she worked on a project in post-production of a film based around consciousness and dreams. This was the catalyst in her getting her coaching training so she could then help and show others why their dreams could be important to them. Not every dream you have will be profound, that is normal. But often when people remember dreams there is something there they can learn from. There is a lot of scientific evidence as well as 7000 years of human history to back up dream theory. Fire in the belly to Debbie means Passion. She found it later in life but she realised dreamwork is her fire in the belly and it has given her power. As humans we put a value judgements on everything in our waking lives but dreams do not have these value judgements in them. This is why they can be key to unlocking so many things in life including what you really want. So many of us go through life ‘sleeping’. They are not aware of their bigger picture and don’t think too much about whether they are living their true life. One of the biggest impacts of learning dreamwork for Debbie was the self confidence it gave her.
