E18: Veteran to Volunteering

Aubrey welcomes the man we’ve all heard so much about, Mr. Bill Roby. Bill briefly shares some of his story, from serving in the Army in Vietnam and coming home struggling with survivors guilt, to how he ended up serving as Chair for the USA Cares Board of Directors. Aubrey and Bill discuss how 9/11 spurred so many men and women into service and the aftermath many have been dealing with since returning to the civilian sector. Whatever the struggle, USA Cares is here to help military men, women, and their families through their hardships; and Aubrey speaks to how the Chapters Program approaches their events and involvement based on the unique nature of the local communities.
