I was curious which style of investing is superior, lump sum investing or dollar cost averaging. So I decided to test it for myself and I'd like to share the results and my thoughts on the topic with you today. If you don't know the difference between these two approaches to investing I'll explain that as well. I'll show you the difference in long term returns for each style of investing into the S&P 500 and we will run through a case study for SCHD under a fixed set of parameters. I hope you enjoy!
