In this episode, Rebecca Jones is joined by Diane Hansen, the President and CEO of Palomar Health. Hansen explains the many difficulties her organization faced due to the Covid-19 pandemic and how she strove to create a work environment to support her employees during this period. She also explains the importance of good employees and how she only hires people she can rely on. When asked about her work life balance, Hansen explains that she is far from perfect at it, but makes an effort to prioritize the things that refresh her in order to be a better leader. Hansen goes on to explain that as a leader, sometimes listening is more important than what you say. The episode ends with Diane Hansen encouraging young women to be brave, bold, and swift, and to lead in their own special way with these skills.
