Working with Ayana was like talking to a friend, but not just any friend, a friend who really understands how to grow an online business. She was easy to talk to and very relatable. Ayana was also quick on her feet. She effortlessly provided creative ideas and solutions while I was completely drawing a blank.

I gained so much information that I did not have before, such as how to come up with creative content from my website and repurpose content. That's just a few words from Brickland regarding her experience with a pick my brain session with me. And if you are on the fence about whether to book your pick my brain session or not, hopefully this just gives you a little insight as to what the experience may be like. You can head over to SwitchPivotAQuid.com today and book your session with me.

If you love what you hear on the SwitchPivotAQuid podcast and you want to show your love, head over to iTunes and leave us a review. And if you just can't get enough, come hang out with us on Instagram by following at SwitchPivot or Quit AllSbelledOut or draw by our website, www.switchpivotorquid.com. Enough of the formalities, let's go ahead and get this conversation started. Hello, hello my good people.

It's just me and you this week so we're going to keep it light and we're going to keep it quick. We're going to talk about springtime and I'm going to give you my tips to spring clean your life. As you know, the days feel better right now, right? They feel better because they're warmer, the sun is out, they're longer.

Everybody just is in a good mood when it's springtime. I feel like we're shifting out of that winter hibernation, right? So naturally you start thinking, oh, I need to spring clean, right? If you're on the East Coast, you're thinking I need to switch my wardrobe.

If you are anywhere, you're thinking I probably need to get rid of some stuff that I've been needing to get rid of, all that, right? You're like, I want to get rid of some things. I want to kind of switch some things up. But what about outside of your wardrobe, right?

What about outside of spring cleaning your house? What about spring cleaning your life, right? That's what I want to talk about today. Some tips on how to spring clean your life, all right?

My first one is to check your attitude. Check it. One of my friends shared this quote with me from her husband who got the quote from who knows where, but we love the quote and now we've got our hands on it. So hey, that's all that matters.

It says the attitudes and thoughts that you use to survive will no longer serve you when you thrive. Oh, let me bring that back. Let me bring it back. We can all digest this properly.

The attitudes and thoughts that you use to survive will no longer serve you when you thrive. Whoo, that one, that one hit me so good when she shared that one with me. And it's all about your attitude, your mindset, what types of thoughts are you having, how you're approaching things, all these things matter, right? When you're trying to get to that next level.

So when you're trying to spring clean your life and you're thinking about getting rid of the old, your attitude, anything that does not serve you and you know it does not serve you to the left to the left. We gotta let that go. We gotta change our attitudes. We have to change our thought process and how we approach things, right?

If we want to have this fresh perspective that welcomes more abundance into our life. So we've checked our attitude and now what do we do next? We take care of our biggest asset. Now, this one has layers.

Many people think of their assets as you know, the assets when it comes to the financials, right? When you're looking at it from a financial perspective, but I'm talking about a greater asset, you, your wellbeing, your health, the thing that keeps you going that body, right? That allows you to do any and everything that you dream of doing. That is you taking care of your biggest asset, that body, you taking care of your health.

So many of us push ourselves to the limit, right? We sort of in an unintentional way abuse our bodies because we push them further than sometimes they are supposed to go. We test them. We don't eat for hours on end.

We don't properly hydrate. We don't exercise and get the movement that we need to get. We really abuse our bodies sometimes. When we're thinking about spring cleaning our lives, let's get rid of those behaviors, those behaviors that will not serve us.

And let's start really taking care of our biggest asset, right? That could be anything from creating a healthy routine that serves you and your healthy routine will look different, right? Everybody's routine will look different. For some people, it's hydrating more.

For some people, it's eating more regular small meals. For some people, it's paying attention to what they eat and putting into their body. For some people, it is working with a trainer. For some people, it's making sure that they designate the time that they work out whether it be in the morning or in the evening, whatever, creating a healthy routine for you looks like meal prepping, all that good stuff.

It's time to start doing it to spring clean your life and get yourself in a better situation, right? And I think it will also help your mindset and your attitude. Sometimes we don't realize that we're approaching things with a very short temper or short fuse because of some of the other factors that are happening. Maybe we're not getting enough sleep.

Maybe we're not properly fed, properly hydrated. Our bodies just can't keep up with the way that we want them to keep up. And so as a result, we're acting out with our attitudes because we're neglecting our biggest asset. All these things play a role and go hand in hand.

We're going to hop into making room for what you want. This is another way for you to spring clean your life. Make room for what you want. Be intentional about the things that you want and the things that you desire.

But not only identifying the things that you want and desire, but make room for them. For my single ladies out there, if we're talking about, oh, I want a man or I want a companion, I want to share all these amazing experiences with somebody. So you know, like, I really want this. Okay, well, let's make room for it then, right?

Let's make room for that person to be in our lives. Let's not shut off opportunities that could welcome somebody in. Let's not create this insular life so much so that nobody else can fit into this picture that you've now painted yourself into. Let's make room for what we want.

If you want growth within your company and your career, let's make room for it. Let's expand our mind. We're going back to the attitude, right? Expand our mind to be able to embrace those bigger thoughts of what you can potentially have and how you can go about achieving it.

Let's make room for these things. If you're wanting a promotion that's going to require more of your time, right, or more of something out of you, are you making space for that to exist? Do you have your days so cramped and packed with all these other things that you couldn't possibly fit more on your plate to accommodate that promotion or that new project? Let's make room for the things that we want.

Let's be mindful and intentional about how we move in this here spring season if we want to spring clean our lives so that we can be better, grow, get to a bigger level. The next one is get intentional about the people that you connect with and associate with, right? That's another easy way to spring clean your life. Rid yourself of the things that no longer serve you.

Hmm, that's a common thing, right? That keeps coming up. What serves you? It's really something that you want to pay attention to.

The people around you, you've all heard of it. It's been said before, you know, they can be the biggest success hack, but they can also be the biggest drain, the biggest time suck. Now, we're not trying to be mean about things, but sometimes you have to recognize the situation for exactly what it is, a waste of your time. I mean, how many of you have had friends before where every conversation revolves around them and their problems?

What's not going right in their life? What's not progressing and moving forward? What roadblock they ran into today? And when you look up, you realize, gosh, like she never even bothered to ask me how things are going with me.

There's so much turmoil in her life and so many things to deal with that she doesn't even have any time or attention span to be concerned with me at all, right? She's just sucking and sucking and taking and taking from me because that's what serves her, right? So we got to get back to what serves you. I've had friends like this before and I had to slowly distance myself from them.

So when I say sprinkling your life with this, getting intentional about the people that you connect with and associate with, I'm not saying that you have to shut off your friends that you've been friends with for years or completely like banished them from your life. No, but you need to have an awareness of what that does or doesn't do to you in the time and space and the energy that you're in, right? If it's not serving you, having awareness about that and maybe limit your interactions with them and limit them so much to where eventually they just dwindle down and that person may be find someone else's shoulder to cry on or someone else to offload all of the negativity onto. Look, we can be supportive and be there for our people and our friends.

It's absolute like must in relationships, right? But there's also such thing as a relationship being one sided. You just don't want to find yourself in one of those one sided relationships where you're always giving, giving, giving and always being the support system, but there's no balance. The streets are talking, talking to me about my intimate status.

I know, I know, I open up the door to the conversation when I share my bra shopping secret with everyone. So naturally, they're asking me if my third love bras live up to the hype and the answer is yes, I have the classic contour plunge bra and the classic t-shirt bra. But the best thing about my new third love bras is that we can all be equal, equally comfortable that is. Third love offers a 100% fit guarantee.

That's thirdlove.com. So, let's drop back into our tips to spring clean your life. I don't know why I feel so excited. It's just like I want to sing maybe because it's spring.

Okay, I'll get back to it. Okay. So, our next tip is to go through your expenses and rid yourself of anything that is not necessary so that you can invest in something that is so necessary for your personal growth, right? We're spring cleaning our lives so that we can become better personally and professionally.

Go through all those little expenses that you have, the things that you don't even remember that you are spending money on. I say go through your credit card bills, go through your bank statements, go through your little, I don't know, your little petty cash fund, whatever. Go through all your receipts, go through everything to get an idea of the areas where you may be spending money but you could cut back. It's not a necessity.

And then you can take that money. Find out how much that money is that you'll be saving if you were to cut back and you can take that money and invest it in a space that serves you. There we go again, right? Invest it in a way that will pour into your personal or professional growth.

If you've been thinking, oh gosh, I would really love to visit XYZ Museum but gosh, it's so expensive to go and I don't know when I'm going to be able to do it. Maybe there's some little extra change lying around that you can allocate to those types of luxurious museum experiences. Maybe it's that you want to have Sunday brunch or tea, high tea at a beautiful new restaurant or old school restaurant that's just your story with history, right? But you're like, oh, it's so expensive.

I really want to treat myself but I can't do it right now. Find those ways to cut back so that you can pour into yourself personally and professionally. Maybe there's a class that you've really been wanting to take but it seems like it's not within your budget right now. I bet there's room in your budget.

If you just wiggle it around a little bit, take your little inspector gadget. What is that thing called? Magnifying lens. That's what it's called.

Take your little magnifying lens, look real close, get deep into those expenses and find yourself a way that you can make it happen. There's always little cutbacks that we can do, right? And maybe it's not a permanent cutback. Maybe it's just for the springtime that you cut back so that you can enjoy maybe some of the outdoor activities or some things that you haven't been enjoying in the wintertime.

Which brings me into my next tip. Plan a solo trip. If you're someone who says, oh my gosh, I don't like going places solo, you really need to do this, man. This is your test.

The spring cleaning of your life consists of growth, honey, right? And the way that you're going to grow is by going on that solo trip. You're going to have time alone with yourself to think, to go over things, to plan, to ponder issues and topics that you haven't given much thought to, to pour into yourself to maybe do some reading, maybe do some research, maybe catch up on some news and events or things that you've been curious about, but you haven't quite had time to really look into it. Give yourself that solo trip.

And the reason I say give yourself that solo trip is because this is your gift to you. This is something that is going to serve you, even if it feels awkward or like you've never done it before, so a little bit intimidating. Push yourself to do it. Push yourself to do it.

You will not regret it. Guarantee, you will not regret it. Plan that solo trip to spring cleaning your life. It will open up so much for you when you get back.

You'll feel good, you'll feel energized. And let's just say by some chance you hate it. You're like, this was not the thing for me. I don't know why I listened to Ayana.

Like I hated being alone on this solo trip. Well, you still get something from it. You'll come back to your regular environment, filled with all your people, your friends, your family, your loved ones, your significant other, all that good stuff, and you will be more appreciative of them, right? You will feel excited to be around them because you will remember the time that you were by yourself on this solo trip and you hated every minute of it.

So either way, it is a win-win, okay? And my final tip to spring cleaning your life, you probably can guess what it is. Let's read the Quit Playing Small Book daily. Daily, honey, daily.

So many of us have talked about, I've talked to you all in person when we've been able to meet up book signings and things like that and not real book signings, just kind of impromptu book signings at events. I don't want you guys to think I've shaded you by not telling you about something. So we've talked about your morning routines, right? How some of you have them and some of you don't.

If you do not have a morning routine, incorporating the Quit Playing Small Book into your life and making that a part of your morning routine is fantastic. Even if that's the only thing that your morning routine consists of currently or at the moment when you get started, that's fine. Your morning routine does not have to look like everyone else's morning routine. There is no rule to how it should look.

There's no rhyme or reason to why you should do it a specific way. You do what serves you, right? So you incorporate the book because you just want to get a little goodness and encouragement, reading of some sort, right? Daily.

And then maybe you'll just sit there for five minutes or two to three if you're just getting started and just allow yourself to have positive thoughts. Allow yourself to think the things. Allow yourself those quiet, silent moments, right? Then you can work your way up to doing some journaling, which also exists in the back of the book.

If you have no idea where to start with journaling, you can go to the back of your Quit Playing Small Book and there's some prompts to get you started. You can also look at some of the conversation corner questions and get your mind going in terms of, hmm, I never really thought about that. Maybe I should spend my five minutes in the morning that I'm going to use for my quiet time pondering the answer to this question that's in the back of the book. However you want to mix it up, however you want to do it, I definitely recommend using the Quit Playing Small Book daily to help you spring clean your life.

I hope that these tips have been helpful. I hope you've enjoyed them. I have enjoyed sharing them with you. Obviously you guys know I like to cut up sometimes and so this was a fun episode for me.

I hope that you will share it with a friend if you think that you have someone out there in your life who can use a little spring cleaning in their life. As always, I appreciate you guys for listening. I thank you so much for all of your positive feedback and support. If you don't know, we routinely hang out on Instagram.

That is where I engage with my peeps. You are the most and that's just at Switch Pivot or quit. I would be extremely grateful to you if you would go onto iTunes and PS. If you didn't know, on iTunes now you can listen everywhere.

They have now enabled the web application. So when you go and click on an episode before it used to be that you had to have iTunes and iTunes app would pop up. Now you don't have to have it anymore. You can just be on your standard web browser, click on an episode and you can play it from there.

That's a game changer. So definitely love that about the new updates with Apple and iTunes and podcasting space. But with all that being said, what you can do is go on there and give us a review. Enjoy the show.

Definitely go on there. Just quickly, whatever your thoughts are, however you feel about the show, even if you don't enjoy the show, that's fine too. Just don't come back and listen again. I'm just kidding.

But go on there. Leave a review. Let us know how you vibe in with the show and I would be extremely appreciative. So until next week, I will check you guys later.

Have an amazing week and take care and as always, be good.

Barnum. Some laws teach the need for prudence (“Law 1: Never Outshine the Master”), others teach the value of confidence (“Law 28: Enter Action with Boldness”), and many recommend absolute self-preservation (“Law 15: Crush Your Enemy Totally”).
